The payback period of a solar power plant for self-consumption is 3-4 years by replacing expensive grid electricity. For storage systems (BESS), payback depends on the tariff structure and the use of the Peak Shaving function (cutting peak demand), typically ranging from 4 to 6 years. With integrated deployment, the payback period is optimally reduced.
Commercial Gotion BESS battery systems come with up to a 5-year manufacturer warranty (or 8,000 charge-discharge cycles). Solar panels carry a 25-year performance warranty (guaranteeing 80-85% of initial yield), and inverters come with 5 years. The warranty for our installation and commissioning work is 2 years.
Full autonomous mode is technically possible, but for commercial facilities, it is economically smarter to operate under Net Billing or a hybrid setup. BESS acts as an ideal buffer during power outages and for smoothing consumption peaks, while the grid remains a backup source during long periods of bad weather or winter seasons.
We perform a detailed energy audit of your facility: analyzing hourly consumption profiles over the last 12 months, peak loads, and electrical grid status. Based on this data, the battery storage capacity is simulated to ensure maximum savings and the required backup runtime for critical equipment.
Peak Shaving is a technology where the BESS battery discharges during the facility's peak consumption hours, keeping grid consumption below the contracted capacity limit. This avoids utility fines for exceeding allowed capacity and saves capital on upgrading the grid connection.
